San Francisco/Tanner

A couple weeks ago I got the chance to go to San Francisco…. My brother-in-law Ryan, who lives in Chicago, was attending WWDC for his job, and Jenny(Sarah’s sister) and Tanner(our nephew) came along for the week.
Sarah and I drove up in the new Honda Insight to our hotel from Los Angeles on Wednesday evening and stayed at the Cathedral Hill Hotel.. We somehow got an AWESOME room that had a courtyard patio.
It was a little different driving around with the car-seat in the back… It was kind of cool. I’ve always wanted kids, and this was somehow fulfilling in a way. Sarah asked why I liked driving around with the car-seat, and I had been thinking about it a bit… My thoughts were that if people see me in my Hybrid, and with a car-seat, they;ll come to the conclusion that I’m an eco-friendly daddy. Sarah said “I didn’t know you wanted to be an eco-friendly daddy” and I said, “neither did I!”
Anyhow, We got to spend thursday through Saturday in San Francisco with the family, driving around town, going to pier 39, checking out some Picasso and Salvador Dali originals, driving down Lombard St, going to Golden Gate Park, and of course relaxing in the hotel room.
As always when visiting friends and family I brought along my camera, and all of my attention went towards tanner, our 18 month-old nephew, who is of course the cutest kid ever. So I figured we’d do a little impromptu portrait session or 5…. here are some photos:

Awww, Tanner is adorable! I love those blue eyes. ;o)
My favorite is the one where he’s holding onto Mama’s fingers! Great work Brian!
