Bridal Shoot with Sarah at Union Station, Los Angeles
I was doing a little research on locations for bridal or engagement sessions last weekend. I had always heard about Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles, but I had never been there, and I wasn’t familiar with the location at all. So Last Saturday, Sarah and I went down to Union Station to take some fun photographs in her Wedding dress.
I had heard a little about the Amtrak security being a little uppity about photographers in Union Station, so I was constantly on the look out. What’s weird though is that even though Sarah had her big white wedding dress on, and I had my big white lens on my camera we didn’t get stopped or questioned once.
I was a little apprehensive of the whole shoot, and we didn’t have a lot of time… and since I’d never been there before I wasn’t very familiar with what might look good. On top of that, Sarah is VERY camera shy. But she was a trooper, and I coached her as much as I could on posing, and facial expressions.
When we were leaving, we noticed that some people were having their wedding reception AT Union Station. I thought that was really cool. It looked like a nice classy reception against the beautiful and artistic backdrop of a train station. I’m gonna have to suggest to my future brides and grooms that they should have their wedding receptions at Union Station… It looked like a ton of fun, and there are a ton of great photography opportunities.
What was a lot of fun about this, was that I was able to test out my brand new Noah Camera Holster.. It worked out great, and I loved using it.
Noah Camera Holster
The Noah Camera Holster slides onto your belt, and allows you to carry your Professional DLSR with any glass(including your 70-200 f/2.8) with the weight resting on your hips, rather than dragging your neck down and causing neck and back pain.
