Anthropologie and Cork
There are many things in which Anthropologie prides itself, but one of them stands out to me above the rest: Making the ordinary extraordinary. This can be seen throughout their stores. In the windows, their displays, even their clothes evoke a sort of extraordinary quality.
I don’t know how long they’ve been doing this, but Anthropologie has been putting on little crafting sessions inside their stores, teaching their customers how to take every-day objects and craft them into something fun, unique, and decorative. Today, Sarah and I learned how to make little animals out of cork. It was a ton of fun playing with the hot-glue gun, and making our little birdies. We also could have made a snake, a dog, or a cat, but birds were the cool thing today.
